It seems that together with the dinosaurs, the common comedic sense of some people has also gone extinct. A recent Facebook prank showing Steven Spielberg sitting in front of a hunted dinosaur has gone viral on the leading social network: Facebook. The photo showing Spielberg with a dead Triceratops was actually a joke by satirist Jay Branscomb who only wanted to jokingly shame Steven Spielberg by claiming that he had just slaughtered a Triceratops (obviously a mechanical one). The photo was actually taken on the set of Jurassic Park movie in 1993.
Jokingly Jay wrote: “Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.”
Surprisingly, the photo went viral and was shared over 33000 time, and eventually accumulated several harsh criticism against Spielberg from somehow ignorant Facebook users, who did not realize that we no more have living dinosaurs in “2014”.
Steven Spielberg has not commented on this controversy however one thing is sure: some people have a big problem with “General Knowledge”. And if ever you felt stupid in your life, remember: some people actually thought Spielberg killed a dinosaur. You’re not that stupid after all.
