Apple users have been complaining about certain issues related to the iOS 8 pre-loaded in the iPhone 6. They have reported that the iOS 8 causes wifi problems and battery drainage.
Lately, the iPhone 6 has been on the lips of many. However, like everything else, it is not devoid of constraints. A pre-loaded iOS 8 system is embedded in the iPhone 6 – one of the desired features. But, this comes at a cost: a publication of PCmag stated that it has been shown to slow down the wifi, and it might also cause battery depletion.
Users on the Apple support forums have been publishing their complaints related to the two problems. One of the users reported that: “Wi-Fi problems on iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display and iPhone 5S after upgrading to iOS 8. I am thinking about going back to my iPad 2 with iOS 7.1.2 that is working perfectly until the Wi-Fi issues are resolved.”
It seems that iOS 8 has impacted negatively upon the speed at which the iPhone itself works; many have reported that pages are loaded more slowly.
Customers have also complained of battery issues. Switching to iOS 8 seems to have led to the battery being drained faster – from fully charged to no power in a four-hour time period, and that too for minimal usage.
The iOS 8 upgrade does not seem to live up to its name? Was all the excitement for nothing? So many users have been left disappointed. A user posting on the Apple forums even said that he is considering switching back to iOS 7 until the wifi problem is resolved.
