A man, commonly known as RLS after his story was made public by website BroBible, claims suffering from a condition known as idiopathic fibrosis of the corpora cavernose that restricts his number of orgasms. According to him, he has only 100 left until he can no more have an erection.
Life on Earth is characterised by limited supply of almost everything, be it the life span itself, food, resources, and the list extends further. Could it be that the number of orgasms one is to have during one’s lifetime is also restricted in this manner? A 34-year-old man actually claims that he is aware of the exact number of orgasms left for him to enjoy. Well, how true is this statement of his?
The man, known as RLS, affirms that he has only 100 orgasms left. He also adds that after the ‘last’ one, he will be unable to have an erection. As a matter of fact, RLS suffers from a rare medical condition called idiopathic fibrosis of the corpora cavernose. The disease leads to a build-up of scar tissue in his penis every single time he gets an erection as a result of an auto-immune reaction. His case has been publicised after his correspondence to BroBible was made the content of an article on the website.
People suffering from the extremely rare condition have the corpora cavernosa filled with most of the blood during an erection. The two structures start down from the pubic bones and join at the head of the penis.
According to experts, the scar tissue in the corpora cavernosa inhibits the patient’s ability to have orgasms.
The story of the young man might be hard to believe, but according to science, this condition might happen. However, the scientific literature available on this issue suggests that it is only older men or those having sustained severe injury in that particular region who might develop the condition. Apart from injury, inheritance could also play a role. Other health problems could also lead to the accumulation of the scar tissue.
RLS might thus be suffering from something else: a condition known as Peyronie’s disease whereby scar tissue accumulates in the penis, resulting in painful erections.
