We finally know who is the creator of the Bitcoin currency! He’s an Australian!
An entrepreneur from Australia, Craig Wright, has come out today, May 2, as the brain behind the virtual currency called bitcoin. He is reported to have revealed himself to the BBC, The Economist, and GQ Magazine.
Is it really proven that Wright is Bitcoin’s creator? Well, according to the BBC, the evidence he provided could not have been presented by any other than the creator of Bitcoin himself. He used encryption keys created back in 2009, just after the launch of Bitcoin, to digitally sign messages. These keys were created under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.
Craig Wright is said to be a computer scientist and inventor, reports The Economist. In spite of having provided the technical proof, The British News Weekly says that it might be impossible to “establish beyond reasonable doubt who really created Bitcoin“.
However, Bitcoin’s main development team has come forward together with individuals from the Bitcoin community to support the statements of Mr Wright, says the BBC.
